Condensation Control for Shipping Containers

There are the many contributing factors of condensation in a conex. The 2 1/2 minute YouTube video outlines the "8 Steps to a Dry Container" and a short fog demonstration of our "Wall Exhaust". For more details on how to prevent condensation  and the ventilation requirements, the following PDF attachments should answer most questions.

The Tunnel Series "Wall Exhaust"  Drives Ventilation
This vent has been designed for specifically for shipping containers. It is our most efficient and powerful exhaust vent to date.  Please note, every location is unique and nothing is carved in stone when it comes to preventing condensation in a large tin box. To feed the amount of air exhausted by the"360 Wall Vent", intake vents will be required, regardless of how many stock vents currently on the conex (see below).
For more information please see the above PDF files

If the "Wall Exhaust"  sees winds over 3 mph it can drive thorough ventilation without the use of fans.  Every situation is different, so please read the material on this site for best results for a dry container.

The exhaust vent must be subjected to as much wind as possible. Depending on where the most air movement is, that is the location for the vent. To feed the high volume exhaust vent, intake vents will have to be installed
See "Ventilation Design".

Stock Vents on Shipping Containers - (Conex)
Are designed for keeping out sea water during ocean travel
It would take almost 60 of these to amount to the same vent area as our "Intake Vent". More importantly, these, like all other passive vents do not force air flow (ventilation).

This is the vent used in the shipping container industry.  Offers less than 3/8 sq. in. vent area size of a dime. Quantity on a container can vary from 4 to 8 units. They do not blow in nor do they exhaust, they function more of a pressure equalization device.
